Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has commented on the worrying trends in his team’s performances following the 2:2 draw against Fulham in the 20th round of the Premier League.
As reported by Idman.Biz, citing the club’s official website, the Dutch specialist stressed that Liverpool has been making the same mistakes for several months. According to Slot, from the outside it may seem that victories in such matches are almost guaranteed for "Liverpool", but reality tells a different story.
The coach pointed out that opponents are converting their limited chances with alarming ease. "For several months now, I have been seeing the same pattern: the opponent’s very first moment turns straight into a goal. Against Fulham, they had just one chance in the first half, and it resulted in a goal," Slot said.
He also highlighted another troubling detail. "We often concede goals in stoppage time. Such goals always come as a surprise and have a serious impact on the final result," the Liverpool manager added.
