A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed today between Azerbaijan and Turkish Volleyball Federation.
According to Idman.biz, the document was signed by the president of AVF Shahin Bagirov and the president of TVF Akif Ustundag.
A meeting between the leadership of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF), representatives of the federation and the president of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) Aleksandar Boricic, the vice-president of the CEV Renato Arena, the president of the Turkish Volleyball Federation Akif Ustundag, and the president of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation Lyubomir Ganev at the Volleyball Center was held.
AVF employees made video presentations at the event. Sabina Babayeva, the manager of the Azerbaijan women's national team, spoke about the work done to attract teenage girls and boys to the national teams, Nargiz Ismayilova, the manager of international cooperation, spoke about the activities of regional volleyball clubs and the events carried out in the regions. Beach volleyball manager Orkhan Huseynzade informed about the current state of beach volleyball in our country and the work done in this field, and Vugar Huseynzade, the sports director of AVF, informed about the strategic plan of the federation and the work done in the clubs.
Akif Ustundag said that the memorandum signed between the two institutions will contribute to the expansion of relations. He said that as one nation, two states, they always stand by the brotherly country of Azerbaijan. Emphasizing the importance of the memorandum, Ustundag expressed confidence that the document will contribute to the expansion of relations between the parties in the field of volleyball.
Then Shahin Baghirov spoke about the purpose of the Memorandum and the importance of the work to be done together with the TVF. He said that this signed document will promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the field of volleyball, and expressed his belief that great success will be achieved in the near future. Bagirov expressed his gratitude to all the guests who visited Azerbaijan.
