Two more weight fights have been started today in Greco-Roman wrestling, Idman.biz reports.

Azerbaijan’s Sanan Suleymanov started fighting in the French capital.

Men’s Greco-Roman 77 kg

Double silver medalist of the World Championships Sanan Suleymanov started the competition from the 1/8 Elimination Round. Despite being injured during the match with Aik Mnatsakanian (Bulgaria), Suleymanov won confidently - 2:0. Suleymanov challenged Zoltan Levai from Hungary in the quarterfinals. Although the match ended with a score of 1:1, Suleymanov qualified for the semifinals based on the last technical points.

He fought Demeu Zhadraev (Kazakhstan) on the way to the final. The match ended with the advantage of the opponent 6:1. The Azerbaijani wrestler will compete for the 3rd place on August 7.

Sanan is a gold and double bronze medalist at the European championships.
