Today, the best athletes of 2023 in Azerbaijani sports have been announced.
Idman.biz reports that the names of the winners were announced at the Gala organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The selection of the best consisted of 3 stages. At the initial stage, Olympic sports federations presented their candidates for nominations. The second stage was conducted among viewers through social media. At the third stage, the opinion of the commission of judges established in the ministry was taken into account.
In the selection process, the candidates received 50 percent of votes from federations, 30 percent from viewers, and 20 percent from the special commission of judges.
