This week at the National Gymnastics Arena, the Goranboy and Sumgayit gymnastics section members began their training camp.
According to Idman.biz, the primary objectives of the one-week program are to enhance athletes' training and promote gymnastics in the regions.
Shams Soltanova, the coach of the rhythmic gymnastics section of the Goranboy Olympic Complex, emphasized that 4 athletes born in 2013-15 participated in the preparation process: "Our section started operating in 2022. Now about 40 gymnasts are training here. In Baku, we improve the technique and work on the work with various actions. I hope that the useful exercises will help our athletes to succeed in national and international level tournaments."
Fatima Gurbanova, the coach of the rhythmic gymnastics section of the Sumgayit Olympic Sports Complex, also expressed her thoughts on the preparation of her students: "Our section was opened in 2011. About 20 children work here. We have brought 6 gymnasts of different births to Baku in the age range of 6-12 years. Here we are helped by national team coaches. Preparation is at a high level."
It should be noted that Goranboy and Sumgayit gymnasts will train at the National Gymnastics Arena until the end of the week.
