Fernando Santos has set an unwanted record with the Azerbaijan national team.
Idman.biz, citing Sport24.az, reports that this came after the team’s 0:5 defeat to Iceland in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
He is now the only coach in Azerbaijan’s history who has managed more than 10 matches without securing a victory.
Under Santos’ leadership, the national team has recorded 9 losses and 2 draws, scoring just 4 goals while conceding 29.
