Inter Miami’s Argentine forward Lionel Messi has shared his thoughts and expectations ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
Idman.biz reports that this year's tournament features an expanded 32-team format.
"Having the chance to be part of it is exciting," Messi told FIFA on Friday. "The expectations I have are different to the ones I had when I played for other teams, but I'm eager and I look forward to competing against the best [teams] and doing well."
The Club World Cup will be held in the United States from June 14 to July 13, featuring 32 teams composed of players from 81 countries.
