The football database Transfermarkt has updated the market values of players in Spain’s La Liga — and it’s big news for FC Barcelona.
17-year-old Barcelona and Spain winger Lamine Yamal has seen his market value rise by €20 million, reaching a staggering €200 million, making him the most valuable footballer on the planet, Idman.biz reports.
The previous top-ranked player, Vinícius Júnior of Real Madrid and Brazil, has dropped in value by €30 million. He now ranks fifth globally with a valuation of €170 million.
The second and third spots are shared by Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé (both of Real Madrid), and Erling Haaland (Manchester City), each currently valued at €180 million.
It’s worth noting that Yamal had an outstanding 2024/25 season with Barcelona, scoring 18 goals and providing 21 assists in 55 matches.
