Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has set a new world record.
The football legend achieved the feat by scoring in the UEFA Nations League final against Spain.
Ronaldo found the net for the 138th time in international matches, surpassing his own world record. Argentina’s Lionel Messi ranks second on the all-time list with 112 international goals.
In addition to his scoring milestone, Ronaldo also became the oldest player ever to appear in a UEFA Nations League final.
