The term of the contract for Samir Abasov, the new head coach of Neftchi, has been officially announced.
According to the press service of the club, Idman.biz reports that Abasov has signed a 2-year contract with the team.
Having previously coached Sumgayit, Abasov parted ways with them today to take on this new role with the Baku representative. Notably, Abasov has a rich history with Neftchi, having celebrated championship victories as both a player and a coach. He was the mastermind behind Neftchi's last championship win in the 2020/21 season.
