Saudi clubs are waiting for the outcome of talks between Salah and Slot

Clubs in the Saudi Pro League are closely monitoring the situation surrounding Mohamed Salah and are waiting to see whether the forward and Liverpool head coach Arne Slot can resolve their conflict within the next two days.

According British media, the parties are preparing for new negotiations after the 33-year-old Egyptian publicly expressed dissatisfaction with the decision to leave him out of the squad for a recent match, Idman.Biz reports.

Despite active discussions about Salah’s potential departure, Liverpool maintain their position that the player must honour his contract, signed only a few months ago and worth more than £400,000 per week. The club's management has no intention of selling the forward, believing that the disagreement with Slot can be resolved.

However, sources within the Saudi Pro League believe this stance may be an attempt by Liverpool to preserve the player’s high transfer value. The league’s CEO, Omar Mugharbel, stated that Salah “will always be a welcomed player in Saudi Arabia,” but stressed that negotiations are the responsibility of individual clubs. Interest in the Egyptian forward has already been shown by Al Hilal, Al Qadisiyah and the NEOM project.

In the coming days, it may become clear whether Salah will stay at Liverpool or whether Saudi clubs will begin a formal pursuit of his signing.
