Kylian Mbappe entered an exclusive Champions League elite after scoring four goals in Real Madrid’s 5-2 win over Olympiacos.
Idman.Biz reports that known as a “poker,” a four-goal haul in a single European Cup match, this marks Mbappé’s first such achievement in the competition and the first for Real Madrid in this season. In total, 51 pokers have been recorded since the tournament was rebranded as the UEFA Champions League in 1992–93.

Mbappé joins legends like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Andriy Shevchenko, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Marco van Basten, Eusébio, Puskás, and Di Stéfano. He becomes only the fourth player to score a poker for Real Madrid, following Di Stéfano, Puskás, and Cristiano Ronaldo. Notably, each time a Madrid player has scored four goals in a European Cup match, the club has gone on to win the tournament that season.
Since 2000, only Robert Lewandowski has achieved two pokers, including one against Real Madrid, a record Mbappé could match. The Paris-born star’s four-goal feat in Athens was also the first poker of the current Champions League season, highlighting his elite status on the European stage.
