“Inter Miami” forward Lionel Messi spoke about his life in Argentina and his move to Barcelona, Idman.Biz reports, citing NBC News.
Messi recalled his early years and the beginning of his football journey in Spain:
“Argentina meant everything to me since childhood. Everything I learned in life, I learned there, at home. The values my father and mother taught me and the upbringing I received were always rooted in family from the very beginning. After that, I moved to Barcelona, and I had to start from scratch. I was alone in a new country where I didn’t know anyone. Over time, I carried all that experience into my new life,” Messi said in an interview with NBC News.
This season, the Argentine forward became the top scorer of the MLS regular season, recording 29 goals and 19 assists in 28 matches.
