Anna Bashta, the leader of our national fencing team in the saber type of fencing, participated in the "Satellite" tournament held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

Anna Bashta finished the group stage with a perfect result (6 wins) and knocked out Bulgarian representatives Kristina Milankova (15:7) and Emma Neikova (15:9) on the way to the semi-finals. Anna defeated our other representative Palina Kaspiarovich in the semi-finals with a score of 15:11. Our women's saber fencer won the tournament by defeating Bulgarian fencer Yoana Ilieva with a score of 15:13 in the decisive match.
Palina Kaspiarovich, who finished her performance in the semifinals of the tournament, won a bronze medal. Having successfully finished the group stage (5 wins), Palina won the Bulgarian saber player Zarifa Huseynova, who managed to reach the 8th place in the semi-finals.
Despite Sabina Karimova, one of our other representatives, also managed to reach the strongest 8th place, she lost to Yoana Ilieva with a score of 12:15 in the match to advance to the semi-finals. Valeriya Bolshakova, who has progressed to this stage, lost to Bulgarian saber player Olga Hramova (6:15) in the match to advance to the top four. Hramova beat our representative Sevil Bunyatova in the strongest round of 16 with a score of 15:9.
