The final rounds of the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships have kicked off in Budva, Montenegro.
According to Idman.biz, on the first day of the finals, Azerbaijan’s national team member Bilalhabashi Nazarov (48 kg) took to the ring.
In a decisive match, he faced Sayfiddin Sabirov from Uzbekistan. The bout ended with a score of 5:0 (29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28) in favor of the Uzbek boxer, earning Nazarov a silver medal at the world championship.
This marks the fourth medal for our national team at this world event. Previously, boxers Mahammadali Gasimzade (60 kg), Zidan Humbatov (51 kg), and Aynur Mikayilova (57 kg) secured bronze medals.
Tomorrow, on the second day of the finals, Ali Abdullayev (63.5 kg) will also take the ring. He will face Abdulaziz Jurakulov from Uzbekistan in the championship bout.
