Azerbaijan’s Greco-Roman wrestling team has returned home after a successful performance at the World Championship for non-Olympic weight categories in Tirana, Albania.
Idman.biz reports that a welcoming ceremony was held at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, attended by representatives of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, the athletes' families, and media representatives.
In Tirana, the team clinched 3 gold medals, amassing 85 points to secure first place overall.
Notably, Eldaniz Azizli (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (63 kg), and Ulvu Ganizade (72 kg) were crowned world champions.
