The women's wrestling competition at the World Championship for non-Olympic weight classes commenced today in Tirana, Albania.
According to Idman.biz, medals are contested across four weight categories, with Azerbaijani wrestlers competing in two of them.

Alyona Kolesnik advanced to the quarter-finals after a convincing victory over Brazil's Ana Luiza Pereira (16:6) in the 1/8 final. However, she was defeated in the next round by Mongolia's Tserençimed Suki, who won decisively with a score of 9:0.
65 kg
Elis Manolova progressed to the 1/8 final by winning against Poland's Natalya Gizela based on the last-point principle (1:1). Unfortunately, she then lost to Romania's Ekaterina Zeleny with a score of 0:11.
The championship is set to conclude on October 31.
