The World Wrestling Union (UWW) continues to investigate the match between Turan Bayramov and Frank Chamizo (Italy) in the 74 kg category of the European Olympic Qualifying Tournament held in Baku.
Idman.biz reports that 2 independent and separate commissions have been created for this purpose.
They will transparently conduct the work of the judges and the analysis of the meeting. Each commission will consist of 3 people, respectively the chairman of the judges' commission, 2 experts with experience in refereeing and international wrestling rules, and 3 bureau members.
In addition, the Chair of the UWW Disciplinary Chamber will appoint a 3-member panel to review the results of an ongoing investigation into allegations of attempted corruption and violations of wrestling integrity. In this case, the disciplinary action will be taken based on the decision of this commission.
It should be noted that UWW has announced that it is determined to thoroughly investigate and clarify all aspects of the semi-final fight between Chamizo and Bayramov.
