Brazilian forward Neymar has extended his contract with Santos until the end of 2026, Idman.Biz reports.
"2025 was a special and difficult year for me, a time of joy and overcoming obstacles that I could manage only thanks to your love.
2026 has arrived, and destiny has decided otherwise. Santos is my place. Here I am at home, safe and happy. And it is with you that I want to fulfill the rest of my dreams," Santos’ press service quoted Neymar as saying.
The 33-year-old returned to his boyhood club in January last year and, despite battling injuries and the team’s relegation from Brazil’s Serie A, helped Santos secure survival in the top flight in the closing matches of the season. The team finished 12th with 47 points.
In the 2025/2026 season, Neymar played 28 matches, scored 11 goals, and provided four assists. It was reported in late December that the forward underwent knee surgery.
