"Let's Swim Together" project is taking place in Azerbaijan for the second time.

Idman.biz reports that this was said by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, while talking about the "Let's Swim Together" competition.

He said that the number of swimming pools operating in the country has reached 35: "Olympic sports complexes operating in our regions have joined this event. Compared to last year, the number of participants has increased. Athletes from Turkiye and Uzbekistan are also participating here this year. I believe that the number of participants will be more next year. Of course, these are the result of the joint activities of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports during the year. Of course, it is impossible to do this without the support of the state."

According to the Minister, the number of sports events held in Azerbaijan this year was high: "We have held a project called "Let's Learn to Swim" in our schools located in different regions. Here, school students participate in a 4-week program to improve their swimming skills. As a result, swimming pools are used comfortably not only in summer, but also in winter."

It should be noted that today the opening ceremony of the "Let's Swim Together" competition was held at the Baku Aquatics Palace.
