The inaugural ceremony of the swimming tournament among state institutions was held.
Idman.biz reports that the head of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Elnur Mammadov, the leadership of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation and officials of various institutions took part in the event organized at the Baku Aquatics Palace.
Before the ceremony, there was a presentation of the teams. Then the National Anthem was played.
Elnur Mammadov, head of the sports department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, wished success to the athletes and said that state institutions actively participate in the competitions: "State institutions also support us in holding this competition. I thank them. Out of the 72 participants who will participate in the competition, 12 are women. We hope that this race will be successful as the past events. May the strong one win."
Later, the chief judge Rashad Abdulrahmanov explained the rules of the competition.
In the tournament, 72 participants from 21 institutions will compete for the title of winner. The team consists of 4 men and the same number of women in the 1-day competition. The competition is organized in the form of individual and team championships in various types of swimming. At the end, the winners will be presented with diplomas and medals of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
It should be noted that from now on it is planned to hold about 30 competitions between state institutions. The main purpose of the swimming tournament is to promote and attract healthy life among sedentary people.
