The award ceremony for the final stage of the Swimming for All project was held at the Baku Aquatics Palace with the participation of athletes from member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States.
The awards were presented by Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation Khalig Ildirimzade, and other officials, Idman.biz reports.
On this day, participants from age groups 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60+ showcased their skills in the pool.
On June 5, the competitions will continue with swimmers representing under-9, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-19, 20-24, and 25-29 age groups.
The goal of the project is to promote swimming as a mass sport, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and strengthen friendly relations among the participating countries.
