Renowned outlet Sky Sports conducted a poll to determine the greatest football player in history.
Approximately half a million respondents took part in the voting, Idman.biz reports.
Portugal national team striker and Al-Nassr (Saudi Arabia) star Cristiano Ronaldo claimed first place, receiving 36% of the votes.
Just behind him, in second place, was Lionel Messi of Inter Miami (USA) and the Argentina national team, who garnered 35% of the votes.
Third place went to his compatriot, the legendary Diego Maradona. The top four was completed by Brazilian icon Pele.
