Head coach of Azerbaijan national water polo team Panagiotis Chronopoulos has stepped down from his position.
Idman.biz, citing AZERTAC, reports that this was announced by the President of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation, Zaur Aliyev.
He stated that water polo is more developed in Croatia and that they intend to benefit from that country’s expertise: “We will be closely involved in this matter and will consider candidates.”
The Greek specialist had been leading the national team since September of last year.
