The 11th meeting of the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov with representatives of federations on Olympic sports was held.
Idman.biz reports that at the event held at the Shaki Olympic Sports Complex, the minister congratulated the federations on the sporting successes achieved in the last two months and wished them new successes.
This is the second time that the meeting, which is held every two months according to tradition, is being held outside the capital.
Farid Gayibov noted that holding the meetings in the Olympic Sports Complexes would be useful both for the representatives of the federation to closely monitor the activities of their sports in the regions, and to familiarize themselves with the possibilities of the complexes on the spot.
According to the agenda of the meeting, a presentation was heard about the model statute and the decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024 in accordance with the "Technical Regulation on the Rules of Conducting National Competitions".
At the meeting, opinions were also exchanged on the current status of federations in the Centralized Register system and medical issues, tournaments held in the regions, preparations for the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games and other topics, and information was provided on social media activities of sports federations.
Deputy Minister Mariana Vasileva and head of the Ministry's Sports Department Elnur Mammadov also participated in the meeting.
