ANADA: 3 violations were detected in triathlon, 1 in boxing, powerlifting, kickboxing and judo

Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (ANADA) announced the report of 2023.

According to the information provided to Idman.biz by ANADA's press service, the agency has investigated 54 issues this year.
16 of them were related to anti-doping rule violations, and 38 were related to location data errors. Of the location information errors, 3 were location information not provided and 35 were missed tests.

During the reporting period, 1,100 anti-doping tests were taken from athletes, and the national testing program will continue until the end of the year. The final number will be determined on December 30 this year. The Test allocation plan covers 26 sports and 51 sub-sports.
Testing was conducted in 35 local competitions, AMADA was entrusted with collecting samples in 11 international competitions. 96.4 percent of the tests were taken in Baku, 1.6 percent in the regions, and 2 percent in other cities of the world. 18 percent of the total number of tested athletes are minors, and 7 percent are athletes with limited abilities.

In 2023, 7 anti-doping rule violations were sanctioned. 5 of them are the presence of a prohibited substance or its metabolites or markers in the athlete's sample, the use or attempted use of a prohibited substance or a prohibited method by the athlete is an anti-doping rule violation, and 1 is the athlete's evasion of sample collection, refusal or sample collection. not to submit, and 1 was a location information violation by the athlete. 3 violations were found in triathlon, 1 in boxing, powerlifting, kickboxing and judo.

In total, 52 educational seminars, 17 webinars, 6 mass campaign events and 5 events were held during the year, covering 3000 people.
This year, ANADA signed an agreement on mutual cooperation with national anti-doping organizations of Kenya, Japan, Bulgaria, European Handball and International Shooting Sports federations, World Military Sports Council.

During the year, ANADA employees actively participated in prestigious anti-doping competitions organized by the World Anti-Doping Agency, Council of Europe, UNESCO, International Testing Agency and other organizations.
