The 25th open republic championship and championship of full contact karate and kyokushin karate, operating under the Azerbaijan Karate Federation (AKF), was held.
Idman.biz reports that Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, Deputy Minister Mariana Vasileva, Vice President of AKF Allahverdi Rustamov and other officials took part in the opening ceremony.
In addition to the capital, more than 250 athletes from the regions competed in the competition organized at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex. The winners tried their power at 48 sets of medals.
At the opening ceremony of the competition, the coaches and judges who distinguished themselves in the last 1 year were awarded.
