An international karate tournament will be held in Baku.
Idman.biz reports that the 9th open “Arpachay” competition will be organized in the capital with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the joint organization of the "Arpachay" Karate Club and the Azerbaijan Karate Federation (AKF).
About 600 karate players from 10 countries will compete in the tournament dedicated to the memory of the martyrs of January 20.
According to the President of "Arpachay", Honored Coach Yavar Huseynov, preparations for the competition to be held on January 20-21 at the Baku Sports Palace are in full swing: "In the competition, athletes consisting of children, teenagers, young adults, adults and veterans will compete in all categories of kata and kumite. they will fight. A blood donation campaign will be organized as part of the tournament."
It should be noted that the opening ceremony of the competition will be held on January 20 at 16:00 at the Baku Sports Palace.
