An unnamed Saudi club has made an offer to Liverpool and Egypt winger Mohamed Salah, proposing a salary of £2.5 million per week, which amounts to around £120 million per year, Idman.Biz reports citing Indykaila News.
It was previously reported that Salah had entered into a conflict with Liverpool’s management and the club’s head coach Arne Slot, accusing the specialist of showing a lack of respect.
The proposed figure far exceeds the earnings of Europe’s leading football stars. Manchester City striker Erling Haaland earns around £525,000 per week, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe approximately £600,000 per week, while one of world football’s brightest talents, Lamine Yamal of Barcelona, earns several times less and is not yet among Europe’s highest-paid players.
The 33-year-old Salah has been playing for Liverpool since the summer of 2017. During his time at the Merseyside club, he has won the Premier League, the Champions League, domestic cups, the Club World Cup and other trophies.
This season, the Egyptian has played 19 matches at club level, scoring five goals and providing three assists.
