Bayern Munich lodges official protest to UEFA over Paris police decision

Bayern Munich has filed an official protest with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) over a decision by Paris police concerning the organization of fan attendance at the upcoming Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain, scheduled for November 4.

According to Idman.biz, French authorities have ordered that all buses carrying visiting supporters must gather at a paid parking area outside the city before the game.

Other Bayern fans have been instructed to travel to the Parc des Princes stadium exclusively by public transport. After the final whistle, all supporters must return to their original transport, with the buses leaving the city under police escort.

In a statement, the Munich club stressed that such measures are unacceptable due to the extremely short notice of their implementation. Bayern also noted that there has been no change in the threat level to their supporters compared to the previous meeting between the teams in Paris in 2023, when a PSG fan assaulted a Bayern supporter.

Bayern has immediately appealed to UEFA and plans to use all available legal mechanisms. The club’s representatives also stated that Paris Saint-Germain supports their position on this matter.

After three rounds, both teams have nine points and share the top spot in their Champions League group.
