The fencing Grand Prix in Tunisia has ended.
Idman.biz reports that the women's national team of Azerbaijan also participated in the competition.
Anna Bashta, the leader of the team, started the tournament directly from the playoff stage. Although she beat Italian Manuela Spica in the first match (15:8), she lost to Hungarian Lusa Shuts in the 1/16 finals with a difference of 1 point - 14:15.
The other Azerbaijani fencer, Sabina Karimova, who qualified for the group stage, also won her first match. She defeated the Italian Rosella Gregorio (15:14), but lost to the French Sarah Nucha in the 1/16 finals - 11:15.
