The 33-year-old basketball player commented on the match they was defeated Switzerland with a score of 53:72 in World Championship qualifying round. He said that the main reason for this defeat was inexperience: "Switzerland was not an easy opponent. We knew that and we were well prepared for the game. Our inexperience as a team led to the defeat. There are many young players. Although they are not very young in age, they are young in the European arena."
Hamzayev also expressed his opinion about the match against the Kosovo national team tomorrow. The leader of the national team said that they analyzed Kosovo well: "Kosovo started the stage with an 83:76 victory over Ireland. I think that we will play a completely different game at home and win. Although my personal game in the match against Switzerland did not go well, I will do my best in tomorrow's match. I will try to do my best. I would really like the fan clubs of all the clubs competing in the Azerbaijan Basketball League to support us tomorrow at the Sarhadchi Sports Complex."
