Real Madrid president Florentino Perez did not personally communicate with Xabi Alonso prior to his departure as head coach of the first team.
According to İdman.Biz, citing Onda Cero, Perez delegated the task of conveying the decision to the club’s CEO Jose Angel Sanchez. During the return flight from Saudi Arabia, Sanchez sat next to Alonso and told him, “I think it would be better if we stop this.”
The source reports that the club’s management attempted to make changes to Alonso’s coaching staff by adding fitness coach Antonio Pintus. Alonso refused, stressing that his coaching staff was a matter of principle for him and that he was not prepared to accept any changes.
Following this, the club decided to terminate cooperation with the entire first-team coaching staff, including Xabi Alonso.
It is also noted that Antonio Pintus is set to return to Real Madrid’s coaching staff.
