Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has come under criticism from a former player of the club following the team’s 1:2 defeat to Al Qadsiah, Idman.Biz reports.
Former Saudi Arabia international Hussain Suleimani voiced his dissatisfaction after Ronaldo posted a message on social media following the match, writing: “This fight is not over yet.”
“He has been writing similar things after matches for two years now. We want to see work and real fight on the pitch, not on social media,” Suleimani said, as quoted by Kooora. “The fans gained nothing from that post. They have already read it a hundred times.”
Suleimani stressed that Ronaldo, as a team leader, must take greater responsibility. “As a leader of the team, you have to do more. You may be a big star, but all of that is in the past. Now you need to influence the result in every single game. Look at his movement on the pitch in recent matches. Any player must be accountable for his actions,” he added.
