In Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, the taekwondo championships among adults in Olympic weight classes and European championships among youth have started.
According to the information provided by the Federation to idman.biz, on the first day of the competition, the Azerbaijani national team won 3 medals.
One of the leaders of our team, Javad Agayev (68 kg) confidently advanced to the finals. However, our taekwondo player, who lost in the decisive match, won the silver medal.
Salima Guliyeva (42 kg) repeated the same success at the European Youth Championship. He also rose to the second level of the honorary chair. Our other taekwondo player Muhammad Hasanli (45 kg) was satisfied with the 3rd place.
Thus, the national team finished the first day with 2 silver and 1 bronze medals.
