Azerbaijan’s junior taekwondo athletes won 15 medals at the European Championship in Athens, Greece.

Of the medals, five were gold, five silver, and five bronze. The gold medalists were Ahmad Murvatov (27 kg), Esma Abdullazade (27 kg), Fidan Qafarova (30 kg), Rizvan Abdullayev (30 kg), and Jahid Ismayilzade (52 kg). Silver medals went to Ayshen Abuzarova (27 kg), Umid Shahbazov (36 kg), Subhan Rzayev (40 kg), Fateh Sultanli (44 kg), and Huseyn Ismayilov (52 kg). Bronze medalists included Vidadi Mammadli (27 kg), Ruqayya Aliyeva (27 kg), Aydan Huseynova (30 kg), Aysu Garibli (44 kg), and Gunesh Azimzade (52 kg).
The Azerbaijani team also secured first place in the overall medal standings.
