Azerbaijani taekwondo players finished their performance at the International University Sports Festival held in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

Azerbaijan won the bronze prize in the team competition. Our representative, who won against St. Petersburg Lesgafta University (Russia) with a score of 80:45, lost to Ural State University of Physical Education (Russia) with a score of 38:54 in the semi-finals and took the 3rd place.
Thus, the national team led by head coach Mammad Abdullayev and coach Sanan Hashimov finished the festival with 6 medals. Before the team competition, Sayyad Dadashov (54 kg) won the title of champion in the individual competition. Vagif Hajiyev (68 kg), Eltaj Gafarov (80 kg) won silver, Parviz Iskanderov (63 kg) and Adil Eyvazov (58 kg) won bronze medals.
