The 23-year-old judoka commented on the final meeting with Hidayat Heydarov at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Gaba admitted that Azerbaijani World Champion was stronger: "The fight was absolutely incredible. I did more than my best. I fought, I aspired to gold. Although no one believed it, I did until the end. Of course, I am happy to win a medal. Next time I will fight for the gold medal. I think I fought bravely this time too. I don't blame anyone for the defeat. Heydarov is very strong."
Heydarov won Azerbaijan's first medal in France.
