Brazil's national team secured their World Cup qualification with a 1-0 home victory over Paraguay. The Samba Boys clinched the win thanks to a goal from Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior. With this result, the five-time world champions will compete in their 23rd World Cup. They remain the only national team to have participated in every World Cup tournament.
Ecuador's national team also confirmed their participation in the 2026 World Cup finals after earning a goalless draw away to Peru.
