The World Savate Championship was held in Weitz, Austria.
The Azerbaijan national team was represented by 5 athletes in the competition, Idman.biz reports referring to the Federation.
Each member of the team competing in the assault type of Savate finished the World Cup with a medal. Aghamirza Mahmudbeyli (30 kg) was on the top in the junior age group.
Alakbar Khanmammadov (56 kg) also repeated his success and won a gold medal in the competition of young basket makers. In this age group, Yasin Ibrahimov (52 kg) and Mahammad Suleymanov (+75 kg) took the second place.
Beyrak Bagirov (80 kg) won another prize for the team's asset in the senior competition. Azerbaijani representative was ranked the 3rd.
Thus, the team finished the World Championship with 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals.
