Chilean MMA fighter Ignacio Bahamondes has shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming UFC Fight Night in Baku, where he’s set to face Azerbaijani star Rafael Fiziev.
Idman.biz reports that speaking at a press conference, Bahamondes expressed confidence in his preparation and praised his opponent:
“I’ve watched Fiziev’s fights. We’re in for an exciting showdown, and I’m glad to be facing him. I expect the fight to stay on the feet, but I’m also comfortable on the ground if it comes to that.”
The 26-year-old fighter avoided talking about weaknesses but made a bold claim:
“I won’t speak about any flaws, I'll just say I believe I’m the better fighter. I want to put on a three-round show for the fans.”
UFC Fight Night Baku will take place on June 21 at the Baku Crystal Hall, marking the first UFC event ever held in Azerbaijan.
