Dana White reveals timeline for planning UFC event at the White House

UFC president Dana White has revealed when the organization will begin planning fights for its historic summer event at the White House, Idman.Biz reports.

Speaking on Stephen Smith’s podcast, White said that the promotion will shift its focus to the special event immediately after a busy stretch of shows in January. “On January 23 we will have a boxing event, and on the 24th there will be a UFC tournament. Right after that, we will start working on the event at the White House,” White explained.

White described the opportunity as a unique one, noting the connection between U.S. presidents and sports. “We’re very lucky to have the chance to organize something like this. George Bush loved baseball, Barack Obama was a huge NBA fan, and it just so happens that Trump is a fan of the UFC,” he added.

The UFC tournament at the White House is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2026, and will be held as part of the celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence.
