Former LaLiga player joins Azerbaijani Club

Sabah FC has made its first signing of the summer under new head coach Valdas Dambrauskas.

Idman.biz, via Sportinfo.az, reports that the recent Azerbaijan Cup winners have signed Akim Zedadka, a former player of Spanish side Real Zaragoza.

The 30-year-old Algerian international, who also holds French citizenship, has signed a two-year deal (1+1) with the Baku-based club.

Zedadka, a versatile full-back capable of playing on both flanks, began his professional career at Istres (2014–2016) before moving to Lens in 2016. He later featured for AS Saint Rémoise and spent the 2018–2019 season with Marignane Gignac.

He then played three seasons with Clermont, followed by a stint with Lille (2022–2025). During his time with Lille, he was loaned to Auxerre and Zaragoza, before joining Polish club Piast earlier this year.

Zedadka arrives at Sabah as a free agent, bringing with him years of European experience to strengthen the club’s defense.
