Venezuela on the verge of its first World Cup

The final two matches of Round 15 in the South American zone of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers have been played.

The match between Colombia and Peru ended in a goalless draw – 0:0, Idman.biz reports.

Venezuela, which has never qualified for a World Cup before, defeated its main playoff rival Bolivia 2:0, moving one step closer to making history.

In the earlier matches of this round, Paraguay beat Uruguay 2:0, Argentina defeated Chile 1:0 away, and Ecuador and Brazil played to a goalless draw (0:0).
