Gurban Gurbanov, who coached the national team between 2017 and 2018, has explained the reasons for his departure.
Although he signed a six-year contract with AFFA at the time, the experienced coach left the team after just one year and revealed hidden factors behind the decision.
Gurbanov emphasized that his departure was influenced by the relationship between him and the federation’s leadership at the time.
He stated that he did not leave the national team voluntarily but was dismissed. Gurbanov noted that it is impossible to achieve success where sincerity and the right approach are lacking.
