There was a change in the list of participants of the 3rd Olympic Qualifying Tournament among women in the 3x3 type of basketball.
Idman.biz reports that the reason for this is the Azerbaijani national team.
Our team won the 1st such tournament held in Hong Kong. Therefore, Azerbaijan will not participate in the competition in Debrecen, Hungary.
The team that will replace Azerbaijan among the 16 teams that will fight for the last three qualifications is also known. Our national team opened the way to the Olympic Qualifying Tournament of Ukraine.
In the competition to be held on May 16-19, our team had to face the teams of Germany, Poland and Tunisia in Group A. Ukrainian girls will replace Azerbaijan in this group.
It should be noted that 16 teams will compete in four groups in Debrecen. The first two teams in the groups will qualify for the playoffs. In the end, the first 3 national teams in the Qualifying Stage will get a license to the Olympics.
