Austria's head coach and assistant has waited at Heydar Aliyev International Airport for 3 hours

The Austrian national player encountered a problem when he came to Azerbaijan.

According to Idman.biz, the visas of the team's head coach Ralf Rangnik and his assistant Peter Perchtol, who came for the match against Azerbaijan within the framework of the EURO-2024 qualifying round yesterday evening, were not in order.

For this reason, both coaches had to wait for 3 hours at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Elnur Mammadli, the head of AFFA's press service, said that the problem was caused by the other side: "The coaches did not fill out the online visa correctly when they came from their country. Although they are German citizens, they wrote that they are Austrian citizens. After the intervention and assistance of AFFA, emergency visas were obtained for them. They had to wait at the airport because the emergency visa took 3 hours. Due to their mistake, they left the airport at 01:19 at night. There is no other problems with the members of the team."

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan-Austria game will be held at the Republic Stadium named after Tofig Bahramov at 20:00 Baku time.
