Tomorrow, the "Yaşar Doğu & Vehbi Emre" wrestling tournament will start in Antalya, Turkiye.
Idman.biz reports that Azerbaijan will be represented by 2 teams in the traditional competition that will last until March 10.
Members of the Greek-Roman wrestling national team will wrestle under the leadership of coaches Kamran Mammadov and Zohrab Abbasov. In the next 2 days, Farid Sadikhli, Tural Mehtiyev (both 55 kg), Nihad Guluzade, Elmir Aliyev, Ilkin Gurbanov (all 60 kg), Ziya Babashov (63 kg), Urfan Hasanli (72 kg), Tuncay Vazirzade (82 kg) and Lachin Valiyev (87 kg) will take to the mat.
On the last two days of the tournament, freestyle wrestlers led by coaches Taimuraz Kokoyev and Ashraf Aliyev will compete. The team includes Jeyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg), Ziraddin Bayramov, Murad Hagverdiyev, Musa Aghayev (all 65 kg), Magomed-Bashir Khaniyev, Sabir Jafarov (both 70 kg), Jabrayil Gadjiyev, Murad Yevloyev (both 74 kg), Ashraf Ashirov, Ramiz Hasanov (both 79 kg), Shamil Zubairov, Abduljalil Shabanov (both 92 kg) and Gadzhimurad Magomedsaidov (97 kg) took place.
Ali Babayev and Elgun Mammadov, one of the Azerbaijani international judges, will arbitrate in the competition.
