Taking part in the opening ceremony of the scientific-practical conference "Towards the Olympic Championship: National and Global Perspectives in Clean Sports" organized by the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency, the minister commented on the success of the Azerbaijani wrestlers in the European Championship held in Romania: "Congratulations. They won medals in Greco-Roman, women's and freestyle wrestling. In April, there will be a license tournament in Baku. I wish our wrestlers success in that competition."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team, which won 5 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze medals at the European Championship in Bucharest, took the 2nd place in the medal ranking.
