The new composition of the coaching staff of the national weightlifting teams has been announced.
According to the information provided by the Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation (AAF) to Idman.biz, according to the decision of the AAF Board of Directors, Russian specialist Makhti Makkayev was appointed the head coach of the men's national team.
He worked in the local team for a long time and was selected as the best coach of the year in his country. McCayev's students have won and won prizes in the world, European Championships, Olympic Games, and other international competitions.
Ukrainian Denis Gottfried will act as his assistant. Asif Mammadov will work as senior coach for adults, Emil Aliyev for juniors, and Oktay Mukhtarov for juniors. Sardar Hasanov will be the head coach of the women's team. His assistant will be Afgan Bayramov.
